Summer fun

July 24, 2010

First off, it's been a very long time since I have posted anything, but the life of a college student's summer is nothing too exciting. It mainly consists of working... eating... and sleeping. It also doesn't help that it took FOREVER for summer to get to the wonderful treasure valley. Nonetheless, recently Chad and I have had the opportunity to enjoy ourselves a little bit this summer. Just yesterday, July 24th, we were able to float down the Boise river with Russ, Kristen, Erin and Brady. It was so much fun to get out and have a nice afternoon under the sun. Although the float wasn't long, Chad had to head off to work, we had a great time floating and eating! Sadly, I didn't get any pictures snapped of the float but we do have the memories;)

July 18, 2010... My 22nd Birthday

On July 18, I turned 22! Just the day before I had the opportunity to see an old friend from high school, Suzi Stoddard at a bridal shower that my mom's side of the family threw for me. It was so much fun to play with the family for the day and go on a date with Suzi, her husband Braden and their beautiful baby girl Brylee. Maddox was delicious!:)
The next day, my birthday, Chad, Russ, Kristen, baby Emily, Brady, Erin and I got to go to BYU-I with my parents and attend the singles ward there that my dad is the 2nd counselor of. Afterwards, Chad planned a little birthday party for me and we headed up to Island Park for a few hours. There, we had dinner and cake with his family. Gotta love birthdays:)

July 20, 2010... Apartment!!!

Today, Chad and I got our first apartment!:) I moved in today and he will move in right after we get married. Its an amazing little place and we are so blessed to have found it. We can't wait to make our house into a home:) After getting our apartment our wedding day couldn't come any faster. We want it to get here so bad. One step at a time though... I guess we better focus on the last touches to the reception first;)

Hello All!!!

Hello! I have officially just started Chad and Jessica Powell's new blog. Although our new little family won't be official until August 14th, 2010, I thought I would get an early start on things. I hope you all enjoy the countdown to the wedding and the update on the plans:)
